Playlists: order and weight, not just a folder of files

A playlist in NoroCMS is an ordered sequence of items pulled from your media library. Each item has a position in the rotation and a weight: an item with weight 2 plays twice as often as one with weight 1, which is the usual way to give a hero spot more airtime without removing the supporting content entirely.

Reordering is a one-click operation from the dashboard, not a remove-and-re-add. That matters in practice: changing the order of a live playlist should never mean a screen has to re-download anything, and it does not. The device already has every file cached; only the rotation order changes.

Scheduling: day, time, and priority

A schedule binds a playlist to either a single device or a device group, with an optional day-of-week mask and a time window. A lunch-hour promo can run only between 11am and 2pm on weekdays, while a general brand reel fills every other hour, and NoroCMS resolves the conflict by priority rather than by whichever schedule happened to be created last.

Schedules also carry an effective start and end date, so a campaign can be set up in advance and left to start and stop on its own. This pairs naturally with retail promotions and daypart menu changes, where the content genuinely needs to change on a clock, not on someone remembering to log in.
